Josh nods. "I cannot say the Kevin will take to you, that he will be kind, but he's a good man." He wants her to have a realistic thought of what she's getting into. "And the court is full of vipers that will not like you." They don't like him, and he's been Court Healer since he and Kevin were teenagers. But, he doesn't give a damn. He was Kevin's lover until he met his husband, and is now his dear friend, for a man that can't count on too many people.

"How soon do you want to leave?" He asks. "Once Kevin is on his feet, we'll have to leave."

"You talk too much." Kevin whispers, weakly from the bed. Mimsy woofs and puts her front legs on the bed, licking his face. "Where...?" He's not sure where he is.
