Tony really, really dislikes parties. He especially dislikes parties where he has to pretend that he's the billionaire playboy philanthropist, because God forbid he be anything but straight.
He leans against a wall, listening to someone talk about some sort of conference. He's probably scheduled to be there. As Iron Man if nothing else.
His dad walks by and interrupts whoever is talking, thankfully. "You could try to be more engaged." Howard says, amused. "That conference is important, and you are the keynote speaker." He looks around the room.
"And it's your birthday." His father points out.
Tony sighs. "Alright, Dad. I'll -"
"Tony!" Oh boy. "There you are! I need you, right now." Pepper grabs his arm. "Oh, hi Mr. Stark. Don't mind us, we have something to do." Howard just chuckles, shaking his head.
Tony yelps as Pepper drags him off. "Pepper -" He stops, finally seeing someone he wants to see.
